Won’t using it while driving count as distracted driving?
OtomoDrive is hands-free + PTT only (you speak only while pressing), and the screen locks so you can’t operate it while moving. Do not operate your device while driving; follow your local traffic laws and use compatible hands-free equipment. If a hands-free conversation still distracts you, stop using it immediately.
I'm nervous about talking to strangers.
We don’t make it fully anonymous — we use nicknames plus a rating system. Anyone you don’t click with can be blocked or reported in one tap, and AI + human moderation watches over things. Age verification also keeps minors out.
Does it cost anything?
Community essentials such as channels, spots, and meetups are free. Your first 10 AI voice minutes are free; after that, choose Premium at $7.99/month with 90 minutes, or a one-time 30-minute AI Pass for $3.99. Local prices are shown on the store purchase screen.
Will others know my location?
No. Matching uses only coarse information like "direction / destination." Your pinpoint location is never shared.
Can I use it solo?
Yes. Along with the spot map and reviews, you can enjoy casual conversation or English practice with the AI passenger. Start driving without waiting for anyone else to join.
What can I talk about with AI?
Choose relaxed passenger-seat conversation or English practice matched to your level. A short summary of preferences and learning goals can carry into the next conversation, and you can reset that memory anytime.
Which devices are supported?
Available on the App Store for iPhone (iOS) and on Google Play for Android. For safety, we recommend Bluetooth hands-free gear or a headset.
Can I use it with passengers?
Of course. The driver must put safe driving first — finish setup before departing and use voice only while moving.
