- This is a disclosure under Article 27-12 of the Telecommunications Business Act of Japan (external transmission rules). It tells you what information is sent from your device to external companies, where it goes, and why.
- We do not transmit anything for advertising purposes. We currently use no analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) either. Everything listed below is limited to what is necessary to provide the Service.

1. About the external transmission rules
Under the Telecommunications Business Act of Japan, where a service instructs a user's device to transmit information about the user to an external party, the content, destination, and purpose of that transmission must be notified to or published for users. This page is that publication.
2. External transmission from the website (otomo-drive.com)
This website relies on an external party only for delivering the web font used for display. No advertising tags or analytics tags are installed.
◾ Google LLC / Google Fonts (website)
- Information sent: IP address, browser and OS type/version, referring URL, and similar information about your browsing environment
- Recipient: Google LLC (United States)
- Purpose: delivering the web font (M PLUS Rounded 1c) and providing/improving Google's services
- When: when a page of this website is displayed

3. External transmission from the app
The following occur when you use the corresponding feature in the OtomoDrive app (iOS / Android). Each is necessary to provide that feature; if you do not use the feature, nothing is sent.
◾ OpenAI, L.L.C. / AI voice conversation (iOS & Android)
- Information sent: voice data during the AI conversation, communication information needed to establish the connection (such as IP address), and a temporary connection token
- Recipient: OpenAI, L.L.C. (United States)
- Purpose: real-time speech recognition and response generation for AI voice conversation (chat and English practice)
- When: only when you start an AI voice conversation; nothing is sent unless you start one

◾ Apple Inc. / sign-in, billing, maps, notifications (iOS)
- Information sent: sign-in information linked to your Apple ID (when using Sign in with Apple), purchase and billing information (when using in-app purchase), map viewport and search conditions (when using map features), and a push notification device token (if you allow notifications)
- Recipient: Apple Inc. (United States)
- Purpose: sign-in authentication, in-app purchase processing, map (MapKit) display, and push notification delivery
- When: when you use each feature

◾ Google LLC / sign-in, billing, maps, notifications (Android)
- Information sent: sign-in information linked to your Google account (when using Google Sign-In), purchase and billing information (when using Google Play billing), map viewport and search conditions (when using map features), and a registration token for push notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging, if you allow notifications)
- Recipient: Google LLC (United States)
- Purpose: sign-in authentication, payment processing via Google Play, map (Google Maps) display, and push notification delivery
- When: when you use each feature

◾ OpenStreetMap Foundation / spot search (iOS)
- Information sent: the geographic area to search (coordinate bounds of the surrounding area) and communication information such as your IP address
- Recipient: OpenStreetMap Foundation (United Kingdom) and the operators of the Overpass API
- Purpose: searching and retrieving spot information such as roadside stations, service areas, and gas stations
- When: only when you use spot search

4. Transmission to our own servers
Voice calls in the Service are sent to the voice server we operate (sfu.otomo-drive.com), and other features communicate with our API (api.otomo-drive.com). These go to us rather than to an external party, so they are not "external transmission" under these rules. Handling of that information follows the Privacy Policy.
5. How to stop external transmission
You can prevent these transmissions as follows. Note that doing so will make the corresponding features partly or wholly unusable.
- Web font: restrict loading of external resources via your browser settings or an extension
- AI voice conversation: do not use the AI voice conversation feature
- Maps and spot search: do not use the map or spot search features
- Push notifications: turn notifications off in your device settings or in the app settings
- Sign-in and billing: do not use Sign in with Apple / Google Sign-In or in-app purchases
6. Revisions to this page
We will revise this page whenever the content of external transmission changes. For material changes, we will notify you by posting within the Service or by other means.
